Lowdown from Twangtown

Lady Antebellum is doing a Vegas residency next year at Pearl Concert Theater in the Palms Casino Resort. But if you're interested, don't drag your feet before buying tickets.

They're only doing 15 shows. We're talking five dates each in February, May, and August. Plus, there won't be a ton of tickets to go around. The theater only has a capacity of 2,500 seats. In fact, the intimacy is what convinced them to do it.

The small venue means they can dig into their catalogue of stuff they don't perform a lot. They can also do acoustic versions of their hits . . . and they plan to bring out some of the songs' co-writers to share behind-the-music-type stories.

More performers for CMA's next month: Kacey Musgraves, Pistol Annies, Thomas Rhett, Dierks Bentley with Brothers Osborne, plus Florida Georgia Line with Bebe Rexha have been added to the lineup of performers at the CMAs. Previously announced performers include Luke Bryan, Kenny Chesney, Kelsea Ballerini, and Keith Urban.

Also: Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood star in a new CMA Awards promo where they talk about what an honor it is to host the show. There are no jokes. It's very serious, and I'm not used to it. Anyway, it also features clips of Johnny Cash, Garth Brooks, Kane Brown, Dan + Shay, Maren Morris, and Lauren Alaina.
