Granger Smith Releases Charity Shirt To Tribute 3-Year-Old Son Who Died

Less than a week after Granger Smith and his wife revealed the devastating news that their three-year-old son, River, tragically died after drowning in the family's pool, Smith's clothing line is releasing a special shirt in honor of the little boy.

"The River Smith Tribute Shirt is on sale now," the post accompanying the shirt's picture read. "100% of the proceeds from this shirt will go to Dell Children's Medical Center in honor of River Kelly Smith. River was Granger and Amber Smith's youngest son who tragically passed away on June 6, 2019. He was cared for by the wonderful staff at Dell Children's before he passed away."

As per the item's description, the shirt tributes River in a special way. "This shirt has a Yee Yee Excavator on it (Riv's favorite thing to do was watch excavators scoop up dirt) and is red- Riv's favorite color."

In just two days, the sales of the shirt have raised over $50,000 for the medical center and the sales are only climbing! In addition to the shirt, the family asked for friends and family to donate to the medical center instead of sending gifts or flowers.

Previously, Smith shared the devastating news of his son's passing on June 6. "Our family is devastated and heartbroken, but we take solace in knowing he is with his Heavenly Father," he wrote. "Riv was special. Everyone that met him knew that immediately. The joy he brought to our lives cannot be expressed and his light will be forever in our hearts."

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Smith family and their family and friends. If interested, you can purchase a shirt for $21.99 here.
