Miranda Lambert Shares New Song With Help of Shirtless Husband

No matter what hardships or obstacles life throws at you, just remember, this too shall pass. Another way to say this sentiment is via Miranda Lambert's brand new single "It All Comes Out In The Wash," and it's the country's first new solo music since her 2016 album The Weight of These Wings, and her 2018 Pistol Annie's album Interstate Gospel.

"It All Comes Out In The Wash" was co-written by the Love Junkies a songwriting collective comprised of Lori McKenna, Liz Rose and Hillary Lindsey, and is all about remembering that with any difficulties you may experience, "it all comes out in the wash." In the chorus, Lambert sings, "'Cause it'll all come out, all come out in the wash/ It'll all come out, all come out in the wash/ Every little stain, every little heartbreak, no matter how messy it got/ You take the sin and the men and you throw 'em all in/ And you put that sucker on spin."

Miranda exclusively tells iHeartRadio of her new single and what it means to her, "I wrote 'It All Comes Out In The Wash' with The Love Junkies; some of my favorite people to write with is Lori McKenna, Liz Rose and Hillary Lindsey. I had the title for a while written down in my phone, and we like to talk about girly things, and things going on in life when we write together, so I feel like the song is just kind of a mix of scenarios that all of us have either been a part of, or seen, or something that's happened in all of our lives. And realizing that when you have something in your life that's a little unclean at times, or hurtful, or a moment that you wish would pass, it does all pass, and it does 'come out in the wash,' and that's something that all of our moms would say to us when we were little to not worry about a stain. I'm really proud of it, it's a really fun song."

And just in case you didn't get the picture, Lambert shared her new song with the help of her husband:

"It All Comes Out In The Wash" was part one of the new music she shared today, because the country star also shared another new song called "Locomotive," a rocking tune where Lambert sings, "'Cause I'm sweet tea sippin' on my front porch sittin'/ While my hubby fries chicken and I'm picking these strings/ I've been down on my luck but I ain't given up/ Well I totaled his truck but he loves me just the same/ Oh, he gives me wings, oh, he gives me wings."

"It All Comes Out In The Wash" and "Locomotive" are just the first taste of what's to come from Miranda's new album. The last full-length studio album released by Miranda was 2016's The Weight of These Wings, but fans will have a lot to look forward to on her forthcoming 7th LP, including a feature from Maren Morris on a song that was inspired by Little Big Town's Karen Fairchild after a wine night at Lambert's. She explains:

"This new record has so many little details on it that become my favorites every time I listen, but one of those details is a fellow Texan and labelmate. My friend Maren Morris sang on a song with me that I also wrote with The Love Junkies, and I knew from the second we were writing it that I would love to have Maren on it. It popped in my head right away before the song was even done. So, I asked her to come in and sing on it. It's such a girl anthem, it's called 'Too Pretty For Prison,' and it was actually inspired by Karen Fairchild. We were having a wine night and I always tell all of my friends leaving, 'Don't leave if you've been drinking, because you're too pretty for prison.' So, thanks Karen, for sharing that wine bottle with me and for taking an Uber."
