Lowdown from Twangtown

RollingStone.com posted clips of six highlights from last night's "CMA Fest TV Special". They are: Carrie Underwood and Joan Jett doing "Bad Reputation" . . . Midland performing "Mr. Lonely" . . . and Tim McGraw getting help from Luke Combs on "Real Good Man".

The others are the Pistol Annies and their song, "Sugar Daddy" . . . Maren Morris and Brandi Carlile performing "Common" . . . and Chris Janson sharing some "Good Vibes"

If you're famous and you want to disguise yourself, you might put on a big ole hat. But if you're Justin Moore, you do the opposite. He went without his signature cowboy hat while doing a pop-up show in a New York subway last week.

Maybe he wasn't going undercover . . . but I barely recognized him. Anyway, one of the songs was "Why We Drink" and it's way better than the average subway busker.

Keith Urban on the single, penned by Eric Church. “The imagery is so strong – a stamp on the back of a hand, a Saturday night cover band, the girlfriend (or boyfriend) we ran with, and a fake ID (which of course I never had). So many of us can relate or will likely relate at some point! I like the idea that life just happens and at some point, whether in the moment or not, you just gotta go with it.”
