Carl Reiner Dead At 98

Carl Reiner, who spent seven decades in the entertainment industry as an actor, producer and director, has died at the age of 98. According to TMZ, the legendary entertainer passed away on Monday night at his home in Beverly Hills, surrounded by his family.

Reiner has over 400 credits to his name but he might be best known for directing hits like The Jerk, Oh God, Summer School, Summer Rental and more. He also created The Dick Van Dyke Show and starred on it as temperamental comedian "Alan Brady." Additionally, he appeared on Two and a Half Men, House, and in Ocean's 11 and Oceans Thirteen.

Among his accolades are nine Emmy Awards, a Grammy and the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor, which he was honored with in 2000.

He is survived by his three kids, including actor-director Rob Reiner. Reiner also leaves behind his best friend, Mel Brooks.
