Hillary Scott penned a heartfelt tribute to her husband, drummer Chris Tyrell, on Tuesday evening (August 22) to celebrate his birthday. The Lady A frontwoman posted a series of photos to mark the occasion, including one of the husband-and-wife duo, one comparing Tyrell to a character in the 2015 animated film Inside Out, adorable costumes he wore with the couple’s young daughters and more.
“Happy Birthday to my husband, parenting teammate, best friend, and overall incredible human that I admire and deeply respect,” Scott wrote. “You are kind, you are patient, and you are loving. I am so grateful to get to walk alongside you in life and learn with you. I also learn a lot FROM you. One of my favorite things about you is that you are the ‘dress up dad’…our girls love it, and you care more about their memories with you than what anyone else in the world would think about dressing up like a minion in Starbucks…or in the carpool line at school. 😂 You do a beautiful job of investing your time and your heart into moments and things that matter deeply to you. This next year is going to bring so much newness and excitement for you, and for our family…I can’t wait to see what God does in and through you this year. I love you [Chris Tyrell] 💖”
Scott and Tyrell tied the knot in 2012. Since then, they’ve welcomed daughters Eisele Kaye, 10, and twins Betsy Mack and Emory JoAnn, 5.
