Garth Brooks and Ronnie Dunn joined forces to deliver a surprise performance of their duet, “Rodeo Man,” on Friday afternoon (March 1). It happened on the final day of the three-day 2024 Country Radio Seminar (CRS) in Downtown Nashville, Tennessee.

Brooks teamed up with the Brooks & Dunn artist released “Rodeo Man,” from Brooks’ Time Traveler album, in late 2023. The two Oklahoma-born country stars made the collaboration happen after Dunn sent Brooks a text about it. Brooks said in a statement at the time: “I thought the chorus was fabulous. Then I tried to figure out some way to get my foot in the door to see if I could (record) it myself. …I got to tell you, it’s so good.”

Though Brooks and the Brooks & Dunn star are both 90s country icons, the “Thunder Rolls” singer also noted that the rodeo-inspired anthem is one that he believes offers more of a fresh sound than decades-old nostalgia. Brooks previously performed “Rodeo Man” with Dunn at the soft opening dive bar concert for his bar, Friends In Low Places, located on Lower Broadway in Downtown Nashville, Tennessee. The honky tonk’s grand opening is slated for March 7.

"I don't think it sounds like the '90s myself," Brooks said in a previous statement of “Rodeo Man.” "I just think it sounds like something from Ronnie Dunn and Garth Brooks."
