Lowdown from Twangtown

Today is the one-year anniversary of the Route 91 massacre, and all radio in the state of Nevada will observe a "moment of silence." Country stations around the U.S. will also participate. The Gator is one of those stations... (We'll go silent at 1:05 Eastern for 58 seconds so we can honor the 58 lives that were lost)

Tim McGraw sent out a Tweet that got the Internet thinking something bad was happening. He wrote, "I need Jesus or I need whiskey." Cooler heads will tell you that it's probably the title of a new song.

Joe Rooney tells "Billboard", quote, "We're going single-by-song. So a singles-based model might be the new thing for us for some time in the future."

On Friday Eric Church’s highly anticipated new album, Desperate Man, will be released. Song #6 on the record is called “Hippie Radio” – a nostalgic tune will have you missing the days of riding in the car with dad, listening to that radio, singing along.

Eric just performed the song live for the first time, and gave a backstory about being a young kid, riding with dad, and listening to that radio. He even says that he thinks this may be his favorite song on the album. Check it out above!
